Wigglesworth & The Yorkshire Dales

The Local Area

Longview is perfectly placed for exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside – lovely places to eat, visit and enjoy are all close by.

Eat & Visit

On Your Doorstep

A few of our own favourites, all within easy reach of the farm.

5 Minute Drive

The Plough

Award-winning food just down the road. Fantastic for lunch or dinner – we recommend booking ahead, and their Sunday lunch comes highly recommended.

10 Minute Drive

Settle

A beautiful historic market town. If you like fish and chips, we highly recommend The Fisherman – it's excellent. Settle also has lovely traditional pubs, independent cafes and interesting shops, making it a great place for a wander, plus a Booths and a Co-op supermarket for stocking up during your stay.

25 Minute Drive

Skipton

Well worth a visit, with a fantastic selection of pubs, independent shops and cafes, plus the impressive Skipton Castle.

A Grand Day Out

Kirkby Lonsdale & Clitheroe

Plenty of other lovely towns and villages to explore too – both Kirkby Lonsdale and Clitheroe make for a grand day out.

8 Minute Drive

Gisburn Forest

Right on the doorstep – a great place for walking and cycling through beautiful woodland. E-bikes can be hired locally from the E-Bike Hire Centre at the Old Vicarage in Tosside. It's also a recognised Dark Sky Discovery site – well worth heading out after dark on a clear evening.

Right Outside

Walking & The Dales Railway

Countless beautiful walking routes nearby, and the Settle–Carlisle Railway offers a wonderful way to see some of the Dales' most spectacular scenery. Plenty of quiet country lanes and views to discover right on your doorstep.

Further Afield

The Best of the Dales

Longview sits at the heart of some of the finest walking and scenery in the north of England.

Yorkshire Three Peaks

Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough form the legendary Three Peaks, with Pen-y-ghent's distinctive summit visible from the farm itself – a serious but rewarding day for walkers.

Malham & Malhamdale

Home to Malham Cove, Gordale Scar and Janet's Foss – one of the most photographed corners of the Dales, and an easy outing from Longview.

Grassington & Upper Wharfedale

A little further north, Grassington's cobbled square, independent shops and riverside walks make it a favourite base for exploring Upper Wharfedale.

Settle & Skipton

Our two nearest market towns, each with their own character – Settle intimate and historic, Skipton livelier with its castle, market and canal side.

The Wider Yorkshire Dales

Rolling fells, drystone walls and quiet villages stretch out in every direction – the Dales reward slow exploration as much as a single day trip.

The Lake District

For a longer day out, the fells and lakes of the Lake District National Park are within reach – a peaceful, less-crowded base to explore from.

Longview Luxury Glamping Pods Church Lane Farm, Wigglesworth
Settle, North Yorkshire, BD23 4RJ

We're tucked down a quiet farm lane in Wigglesworth, a small village between Settle and Long Preston, right in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales.

Please Remember

We are a working livestock farm. Farmer Adrian starts his day early to care for the sheep, particularly during the busy lambing season.

Lambing begins at the start of April and lasts for approximately three weeks, making this a particularly lovely and special time to visit the farm.

Thank you for your understanding, and we hope you enjoy your stay with us.
